About Us

Talmyn was established in the early 80s by Mick and his father, Ken. The pair originally worked on rural hobby farms, managing properties and crafting timber fences.

However, their passion for timber and woodturning quickly led them to look for ways to salvage any leftover pieces they worked with. Mick and Ken quickly began to recycle timber off cuts, turning each piece into works of art.

Mick uses his woodworking skills that have been passed down to him by his father and his artistic skills from his mother Alison, to produce each piece. Every item varies depending on the timber salvaged at the time it is made, meaning every Talmyn product is completely unique to its owner. The timber speaks to Mick and together the timber and Mick create a piece of art.
